Do you hold a PPL, CPL or ATPL issued under ICAO rules? We are one of the few ones on the market who actually do this on a frequent basis. We will prepare the training individually based on your background and skills.<\/p>\n<p>Conversion training from an ICAO license (PPL, CPL or ATPL) requires both theory and practical flight training. In addition to learning more about EASA regulations and operations, we will familiarise you with the aircraft type, local procedures and flying in EASA-regulated airspace. Depending on your licence and experience, you may require conversion training for instrument, commercial and multi-engine flying.<\/p>\n<p>The process to convert your licence from ICAO (including FAA) to EASA varies depending on your licence and your licence issuing state. We will prepare and approve an individual training syllabus for you based on your experience and background and an evaluation flight session in our simulator or on the training aircraft. We will also guide you through all the paperwork. See below for details.<\/p>\n<h4>ICAO ATPL\u00a0to EASA ATPL\u00a0conversion<\/h4>\n<p>For ICAO ATPL\u00a0holders, the process is also straightforward. You need to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Pass 14\u00a0ATPL exams at the Civil Aviation\u00a0Authority (no\u00a0ground school required, but we strongly recommend preparatory theory training).<\/li>\n<li>Pass an EASA Class 1 medical exam<\/li>\n<li>Pass an EASA ICAO English\u00a0language proficiency\u00a0test<\/li>\n<li>Pass a\u00a0skill test for the ATPL(A) licence in your own aircraft type\/FFS*.<\/li>\n<li>Apply for an EASA ATPL licence from the Civil Aviation\u00a0Authority.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>*) Aeropole does not provide type rating simulator training\/checking. Clients usually take their skill test in combination with their annual recurrent training on their own multi-crew aircraft type.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prerequisites:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your ICAO ATPL and multi-crew type rating must be valid at the time of conversion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>\u00a0For ICAO CPL \/ frozen ATPL holders<\/h4>\n<p>For ICAO CPL or frozen ATPL\u00a0holders, the process varies depending on your background. You need to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Attend\u00a0our <a href=\"https:\/\/temp.kansleri.fi\/courses\/ircplatpl-theories\/\">distance-learning ATPL theory course<\/a> and pass 14\u00a0ATPL exams at the Civil Aviation Authority.<\/li>\n<li>Pass an EASA Class 1 medical exam<\/li>\n<li>Undergo conversion flight training (20-35 hours)<\/li>\n<li>Pass an EASA ICAO English\u00a0language proficiency\u00a0test<\/li>\n<li>Pass a\u00a0skill test for the EASA\u00a0CPL(A) and IR(A).<\/li>\n<li>Apply for an EASA CPL\u00a0licence from the Civil Aviation\u00a0Authority.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Expect a duration of <strong>3-6 months<\/strong> and a cost of ca. <strong>17-25,000 EUR<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prerequisites:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your licence must be valid at the time of conversion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>ICAO PPL to EASA PPL conversion<\/h4>\n<p>For ICAO PPL holders, the process is straightforward. You need to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pass 2 CAA exams (no\u00a0ground school required). <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pass an EASA Class 2 medical exam<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Undergo\u00a0flight training (5-10 hours) at one of our training centres; make sure you have 100 h of total\u00a0flight experience (dual and solo combined)<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pass an EASA ICAO English\u00a0language proficiency\u00a0test<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pass a\u00a0skill test for the PPL(A) licence<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apply for an EASA PPL licence from the\u00a0Civil Aviation\u00a0Authority.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Expect a duration of <strong>1-2 weeks<\/strong> and a cost of around\u00a0<strong>3,000<\/strong> EUR.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prerequisites:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your ICAO PPL must be valid at the time of conversion.<\/li>\n<li>You must hold 100h total time on Single Engine Piston Land aeroplanes by the end of the conversion training. You can fly with our instructor to complete the 100 hours, but you will not be able to fly solo on an EASA-registered aircraft without an EASA licence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After your training you are welcome to rent our aircraft at the rates published in our\u00a0price list and fly in Europe for your leisure and business as you please.
